"Ooo~" Aimi squealed when he brought the latte to her, almost not wanting to drink it because it looked so nice. She held the cup in both hands, smiling at its warmth. She looked at Jaaku, thinking about his words. The host club was surprisingly like a family, she hadn't been expecting the warm welcome she got and even though she wasn't a full member they were still really nice to her. Though she had her suspicions it was because she was so close to Daiki.
"I'm glad you think of us as a family." She said, finally taking a sip of her latte and squealing, "wow this is really good~!" She took another sip, smiling at him warmly. "Everyone here is super nice though sometimes I think j they only tolerate me hanging around because of Daiki." She took another sip of her latte. It wasn't as sweet as she'd like but it was still really good. "This is really good. And I don't even really like coffee."

Jaaku paused his hand, but didn't look up to her. "You and the president... what is your relationship, anyway? He looks at you strangely, but compassionately. Like an older brother would." A part of him hoped he could steer the conversation away from why a family-like atmosphere drew him in, why being accepted somewhere made him hope beyond hope he'd somehow found a permanent 'family' in the host club members. He waited to see her reaction to that question before deciding if he'd comment on how many loving glances he also noticed the president shoot her.

At his question Aimi's face immediately turned red, and she tried to hide it behind her cup. "We're just friends. My parents took him in his dad died when we were younger." She answered, praying the disappoitment she felt didn't creep into her voice. The only person who knew about her crush on Daiki was her twin, and Yuuta only knew because for some reason he seemed to have a sixth sense about those things, though he claimed she didn't hide it very well and anyone with a pair of eyes could see. Still, it wasn't as if it mattered. Daiki was too busy with the club and entertaining girls to pay her any attention. Aimi sighed lightly. "Just friends."

"Ah, so that's how it is..." He muttered, nodding his head. He sipped at the end of his drink, glad it hadn't gotten too cold, but also glad he was at the end of it. He doubted that was the case, which bummed him out a bit because both of them were attractive people. He supposed one day he'd have time for love. He let out a small sigh, looking at his empty cup. "His parents are dead? Or just his dad?" He asked. He felt like the president hadn't really talked much about his personal life when recruiting Jaaku. It was this kind of breezing over of 'we're kind of in the same boat,' and Jaaku had dismissed it because he didn't really know many other people cast out for "demonic possession" and didn't have to work almost full time to maintain rent, on top of school.

"Both." Aimi answered, rubbing her finger along the rim of her cup. "His mom died before I met him." She never really talked to Daiki about it before, mostly because it was really awkward. What little she know was because she happened to overhear her parents talking to him one night not too long after he moved in. And what information Yuuta somehow found out.
Aimi took a sip of her latte, feelings a bit weird talking about Daiki with him not around. She'd managed to do it without blushing the whole time though. "Are you expecting very many guests today?" She asked him.

Jaaku nodded, not adding much to that. He was relieved she didn't seem to want to linger on that particular conversation for long. "I hope not." He said honestly, with a small snort. He was already tired, and catering to the whims of teenage girls honestly wasn't his thing. Which only confused him more when they actually liked his attempts at avoiding them and would go around practically chanting about how he really was the tsundere prince. Apparently being bitter at the world now meant one was tsundere. It didn't really make sense to him.

"Really? Do girls annoy you?" Aimi was surprised he wasn't looking forward to any of his customers, most of the guys here could wait to talk to the ladies. Though she supposed Jaaku wasn't like most guys. He was interesting, and she wasn't sure if he'd want her to but she definitely wanted to get to know him better. Be friends with him. Maybe she could figure out why he always seemed so grumpy. "My regulars bring sweets so I can't be too annoyed with them."

Jaaku sighed as he contemplated that question. He wasn't really sure what he felt about girls. Hell, he wasn't sure what he thought about people. But girls wanted commitment, and he was too busy to give that. He tilted his head, sucking in a breath through his teeth, "Annoy just seems like a strong word... In this sense..." He mused. He snarled a bit at her added comment. He wasn't against sweets, in fact he liked them, sometimes, but most of the time he felt like he had too much sugar, especially considering he often took advantage of the free pastry he could get during his work shifts. His food sources at home weren't necessarily scarce, but there was definitely more dog food in the house than human food. He huffed, blowing his bangs up a bit, "Maybe it's because I don't get food then." He joked, though his voice was monotone.

Aimi hummed lightly, chewing on her candy bar thoughtfully. "Should I bring you food then?" She quipped, crumbling her wrapper and pouting when she went through her bag to find she had no more snacks. "Then you won't be all grumpy. I always make me and my twins lunches, I can make you one too if you'd like."

Jaaku ran his finger along a part of his cup that had some leftover foam, sticking his finger into his mouth as he looked off into the distance curiously. "If you only bring junk food, I probably wouldn't eat it." He told her honestly. He raised an eyebrow, "Though I'm curious why you make the lunches. You have parents, don't you? Why don't one of them make your bentos?" He questioned curiously. He perked his head towards her, "You have a twin brother? Is it that kid Daiki-san's always hanging around?" He questioned.

"I don't only eat junk food." Aimi said with a pout. She took a sip of her latte, sighing wistfully. "As much as I wish I could." She gave him a cheeky smile, her math work now having more doodled circles on it than actual work. Maybe she'd try to focus more at home but it wasn't likely. "They used to, when Yuuta-kun was first adopted, and then when Daiki-kun came to live with us my mom made us food all the time. But now that we're older my parents travel a lot for work so I've kinda taken over making lunches." She shrugged lightly, taking another sip of her drink. Aimi held it in both hands, looking down at the lid. "I don't mind it. Cooking is like the one thing I'm actually good at so I really enjoy doing it." She looked at him with a giggle then. "Don't tell Daiki-kun I said that though. He doesn't like it when I talk like that."
She nodded at his question, drumming her fingers along the lid of her cup. It took her a moment to answer the question because part of her was thinking about what sweets she might receive today. "Yeah. Daiki-kun and onii-chan got really close after Daiki-kun moved in with us. Onii doesn't really hang around anyone else though."

Jaaku nodded, he supposed even parents got too busy for their kids after a while. "I wouldn't mind a bento, then." He said finally, actually giving her a real smile. "So you can cook?" He mused, leaning back in his seat, resting his hand against his chin. "If you're as bad as school work as you say you are, why not go to a specialty culinary school?" He questioned her simply.

Aimi grinned, nodding. "Okay. Starting tomorrow you get home made lunches~" She finished the rest of her latte, a frown forming at his question. Lowering the cup to the table Aimi shrugged. "I'm good enough to make lunch for school. I don't think I'd be good enough to actually make a career out of it." She smiled at him, standing to go throw away her cup. "Anyway, I'm happy just making bentos."

Jaaku shrugged, not sure what to make of her decision, though also not opposed to it. At least it was one less meal he'd have to worry about. "Why? What's so great about making food? It's just a chore to me." He asked her simply, scrunching up his face. He was also lazy, but he blamed it on his busy schedule. Usually he'd spend his free time on a weekend, after homework and after he couldn't sleep anymore, to make enough rice and some sort of meat he could stretch out for the rest of the week. Then he'd set up dog food so the morning would be a simple get up, get dressed, walk dog, leave out food, and go to school.
