Tsubasa is a bit of a lone wolf, though he has plenty of acquaintances and a friendly attitude. He spends most of his weekends at clubs in Hakodate, meeting up with random guys at a safe distance from running into any of his coworkers, or heaven forbid, students. He will spend time with his coworkers during the week, however, and will go on the outings as they happen. He also enjoys being one of the teachers on school trips, as he likes travelling and he is popular among the students.

There was a boy he went to high school with that outed him to the entire school, and even now he'll occasionally feel a bit of it's effects, since he works in the same school he went to in high school. However, he doesn't really call the other guy an enemy, more than just feel hurt and a bit like he was stabbed in the back from the other student. He figures it's more important to forgive the student for the incident, despite never getting a direct apology.

Although he's had a couple boyfriends, Tsubasa's never had the chance to find 'the one.' Though he knows he won't find that one in a gay club, he still fantasizes about bumping into him, falling in love, and living happily like his uncle and his uncle's boyfriend.
